Things I have learnt over the last year

Caveat: There are eleven cos eleven is my favourite number, and I had to stop somewhere, but obviously I have actually learnt a little more than this (eg a decent working knowledge of Photoshop but that’s dull and doesn’t fit the ‘deep and meaningful’ tone I’m going for. OK?!)

1) Acceptance is the key to peace of mind

2) The only person you can change is yourself

3) Payday money* is better spent on new clothes than a haircut

4) Love isn’t all you need

5) You can adapt to anything if you really have to

6) Contentment comes from living in the present

7) Facebook can get you into trouble at work

8) It’s *ridiculously* (see last post – why, why, why?!) easy to lose weight if you just eat vegetables for dinner

9) I have the most supportive family ever

10) There’s absolutely no point in comparing yourself to anyone else

11) It’s okay to be alone

So there you go. Ooh, I’m feeling all profound. Don’t worry, frivolous posts about drinking and karaoke will return soon ;)

* those precious pounds that only last a few days before those nasty things called bills swallow them all up
